The HORTGRO Bursary Scheme provides support in discovering and training the best minds and developing a strong labour force. It is funded by HORTGRO as well as AgriSETA and Deciduous Fruit Industry Development Trust. Bursaries will be awarded within the following fields of study:
- Agricultural Economics
- Biochemistry
- Entomology and Nematology
- Genetics
- Horticulture
- Microbiology Plant Pathology
- Research and Technical
- Soil/ Water Science
Bursary Inclusion: The bursary award will cover the following expenses:
- Tuition fees (limited amount)
- Accommodation on tertiary campus
- Prescribed books (limited amount).
Bursaries will be renewed each year based on satisfactory academic performance.
